Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management arrives in Noida
The new campus of Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM) is all set to be inaugurated by Tourism Minister K Chiranjeevi tomorrow at Noida.
Spread across 10 acres in Sector 62, Noida, the estimated construction cost is Rs 27.70 crore.
An autonomous organisation of Tourism Ministry, IITTM offers two-year PGDM programme in tourism and leisure. The institute has centres in Gwalior, Nellore, Delhi, Goa and Bhubaneswar. It focuses on education, training, research and consultancy in tourism, travel and other allied sectors.
Furthermore, IITTM-Delhi in collaboration with CBSE is promoting tourism education at secondary school level and is actively involved in the designing of tourism curriculum for the National Vocational Educational Qualification Framework.
Recently, the Delhi branch won 'National India Education Excellence Award 2013', by Time Research, for the 'Best Institute in Tours and Travel Education' in the country.
