MAT 2016 syllabus & pattern
MAT is conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA), and is a national-level management entrance examination. Candidates have the option of choosing their preferred mode of exam. The exam will be held in paper-based mode and computer-based mode.
MAT is divided into two exams a paper-based test and a computer-based test and is held four times a year- February, May, September and December. MAT 2016's May exams were held on May 1 and 7. The next set of exams are scheduled on September 4 (pen and paper) and September 10 (computer-based) and December 11 (pen and paper) and December 17 (computer-based).

The exam paper will consist of five sections, and the duration of the exam will be 150 minutes. The five sections that candidates can expect in the question paper are as follows:
- Intelligence and Critical Reasoning
- Language Comprehension
- Data Analysis and Sufficiency
- Indian and Global Environment
- Mathematical Skills
Before appearing for the exam, candidates must prepare well in advance and have a grip on logical and analytic reasoning, verbal ability, data interpretation, mathematics, quant and social awareness.
