Mystory@Dr Swati Verma: Choose subjects that can help you score better

I was a CBSE student and cleared 10th with marks close to distinction and took Science stream with Biology and Maths. Here was the mistake I made by taking up both tough subjects just for silly competition with fellow friends. I was aware that my Maths was good but due to Biology especially Botany I would drop my score, still I chose both the subjects.

I suggest students should choose subjects that can help them score better and not run behind mere competitions.

After 12^th, I finished graduation in Maths from Barkatullah University and did Advanced Diploma in Web designing and e-commerce technology and started working as a Graphic designer. Then life diverted me to the best Indian Retail brands and I worked in the Retail Operations for a decade. My love towards trainings brought me in the direction of corporate freelance Trainer. Now I am in a decent zone of my career where I am exploring all segments that I always wanted to.

I initially chose to get into the Software industry unknowingly or again by observing the requirement of the market at that time. But I realized later that I was not a good programmer and with no other choice, I started working as a faculty. And from there I got selected as a Graphic designer in a Fashion designing company and discovered that I can do decently well in designing as I have a creative mind.

Due to change From A class city to B class city, I joined in Retail industry which was entirely diverse from my previous experience, but gradually I discovered that I am good in operations and administration which helped me growth in the Retail sector.
