Mystory@Harish Gera: How I selected my course and made my career

I have completed my 12th class from Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education in Humanities. After which I pursued with B.A. from University of Kota, Rajasthan with subjects including English, Geography & Public administration.

After my graduation I decided to pursue with MBA in Marketing from NIMS University, Jaipur. I always wanted to build my career in banking sector but due to lack of preparation I could not appear for the IBPS exam. After completing MBA, I decided to get into banking sector as a manager. This is when I started taking interviews and after 25 interviews at various private banks, I secured a job with ICICI bank as their Unit Manager.  During the interview at ICICI, the only question that the interviewer asked was "Why should we select you among others?? My answer was "Sir, I know I am not the best but I am better than the rest".

My name is Harish Gera and I belong to Kota, Rajasthan. I have completed Bachelors in Humanities from University of Kota, Rajasthan. After completing graduation I pursued with MBA in Marketing from NIMS University, Jaipur. I have more than 3 years of experience in banking/insurance sector and at present I am working with Bharti Axa life Insurance, Kota as a Senior Business manager. My hobbies include travelling and writing.
