I am a part of a few clubs and societies such as HR club and NSS, says Neha Dash

I completed my Bachelors in Commerce in Management Honors. I went for this course because I had an interest in Human Resource and Business Management. I was a Commerce student in XI and XII. I wanted to have in-depth knowledge about the course. My interest in business has led me to pursue my graduation in Bachelor in Commerce from Ravenshaw University. After a year of experience in Human Resource, I wanted to know more about it and chose to take up MBA in HR specialization in the best MBA college of the Eastern zone i.e., KIIT School of Management.

The two-year full-time residential MBA program at KSOM, Bhubaneswar is designed to provide students’ maximum exposure to the industry. Students undertake several projects, work with the local industry and get enough opportunities to apply their classroom learning to real-world problems.

KIIT School of Management selects students from the KIITEE. Moreover, it also considers MAT, CMAT and CAT. I appeared for MAT and KIITEE that led me to KSOM. With the MAT exam, I also gave the entrance exam such as SNAP for Symbiosis Pune. For the preparation of any entrance exam, all you need to do is clear up your basics in English, Mathematics and Current Affairs. This will not only help you with entrance exams but also in interviews too. I also had applied for Symbiosis Pune and Sri Balaji Society Pune.

I got selected in Sri Balaji Society, Pune but did not opt it because the joining was late and I had already resigned from my job.

Despite daily class routines and assignments, our college also provides many clubs and societies for extracurricular activities. I am a part of a few clubs and societies too. There are different clubs of KSOM which includes EXCHEQUER – The Finance Club, MATRIX – The Marketing Club, OPSESSION – The Operations Club and SYNERGY – The HR Club.

I am a part of the HR club which organizes events related to Human Resource and also deal with students interested for HR as their specialization.

KIIT School of Management also has NSS – National Service Scheme club that encourages students to take up social work for the welfare of the society. I am also a part of the same where we visit many deprived places and organize events for their betterment. We also organize Blood Donation Camps in collaboration with many hospitals.

Not only KSOM, KIIT as a whole also has a society named KRAYA and KUBER – The marketing and finance society which organizes many events and conducts a lot of games and events at regular intervals.

KSOM also has a club named Sanskriti that organizes cultural events. The club takes up the charge to celebrate every festival within the college campus in a grand way. Apart from that it also organizes many competitions frequently.
