Mystory@Kattekola Gowtham: Two mistakes I made in life

I have completed my schooling from Bhadarachalam Public School and Junior College-Bhadrachalam. I have completed my schooling from CBSE board and rest as they say is history. When I completed Class 10, I had little confusion whether to go for MPC or BIPC so eventually, I and my parents decided that I should do a Vocational course and from there on there was no looking back.

I have done my graduation from Shri Shakti College of Hotel Management where I have studied subjects like – House Keeping, F&B Service, Food Production etc. After this course, I believed that I need to do management course, so I did my MBA from Holy Mary Business School. Here, I took Human Resource as my subject and then I started my career in a Recruitment Firm. Right now I am working as an Associate in HR and Admin in a Europe based MNC.

The career that I have selected is perfect for me because it is my destiny. Mistakes have been part of my journey. There were two major mistakes and they changed me and I learnt from my mistakes. During my school days I was an average student, I was very weak in Mathematics. So, everyday I made some silly mistakes that led to losing marks in this subject and this was repeated thrice but still the mistakes were there. One of my lecturer told me to just practice it twice and find a way to get the result in a simple way. That was when I started learning the shortcuts and formulas and I achieved 90% marks in Maths. That is why elders say: Don’t do hard work but do smart work.

2. Self-Coordination
3. Smart Work rather than Hard work
4. Winning Spirit
5. Aggression

My tips to aspirants regarding the career selection is that just have belief in yourself and follow the path which you feel is best suited to you.
