I was a part of several events organized by Camlin. I even hosted events for my own platforms and collaborated with brands such as Red Bull and Monster Drinks. I’m a huge social media marketing enthusiast and the marketing domain has always fascinated me.

I have always been fond of science. Biology has specifically intrigued me since childhood. I wanted to be a doctor since forever. After scoring a 9 CGPA in 10th, I finally got the opportunity to focus on Biology and learn more about that subject. My cousin and my father both had a great impact on me and even developed my interest in this subject in the first place. I have always excelled in science since childhood and that streak continued in my 11th and 12th as well. I wanted to learn more about the subject and pursue it further in the future as well.

After my graduation in BSc, I was looking for new challenges. I was a part of several events organized by Camlin. I even hosted events for my own platforms and collaborated with brands such as Red Bull and Monster Drinks. Although I was gaining experience, I was not able to make anything productive to benefit me in the future. In April 2019, I decided to do MBA. I’m a huge social media marketing enthusiast and the marketing domain has always fascinated me. I chose SIBM Bengaluru because of the strategic location of the college. Bengaluru is the start-up hub of India and there is never a shortage of companies that provide placements here.

I studied for 7-8 months continuously to prepare for my entrance exams. My coaching center IMS provided me great help and support throughout the process be it in admission queries, college selection, or solving my silliest doubts. The institute made us entrance ready through a series of weekly tests and mock exams every month. The tight schedule kept us on our toes as we could not afford to have a poor performance. I smartly made my daily schedule so that I don’t miss out on other activities while preparing for MBA. I felt that relaxation was also very important along with the studies.

The admission process for SIBM Bengaluru for our batch (2020-2022) was as follows:

  • Shortlisting of aspirants based on cut-offs
  • Written Ability Test
  • Group Exercise
  • Personal Interview

There is also an official Facebook group named SIBM Bengaluru Admission Queries 2021-2023 for the students.

I gave CAT, SNAP, XAT, CMAT, and MICA exams. I targeted all the colleges which accepted CAT and selected SIBM-Pune, SCMHRD, SIBM-Bengaluru, and SIBM-Hyderabad. I also filled the forms for NDIM & XIME along with MICA.

My MBA journey with SIBM Bengaluru began right from my interview day. We were given a tour of the college in small groups led by seniors and it was amazing. Seniors played a huge role in helping the first years get accustomed to the MBA life. They kept us connected through video calls and many online events organized every month.

The pandemic affected my campus life heavily as we all have been attending the classes virtually for the past 3-4 months. The faculty members, management, and senior students have made our online experience really enriching. We have subjects that cover all the basics of the specializations. The first year is for students to get a bird’s eye view of all the specializations, and decide on their field of interest for the second year.

We are loaded with extremely informative academic classes and stress-busting activities hosted by various clubs and committees of our institute. Our Corporate Induction sessions with several industry stalwarts, helped us understand better about the corporate world.

I was part of the Organizing Committee of the college’s first-ever online cultural festival Utopia. I am also a member of the college’s Creative Club Hippocampus because of my love for designing and art. Art in every form is encouraged by SIBM Bengaluru. The college experience so far has made me know how to utilize my time more effectively and in the best possible way.
