After my High School education I was very confused while selecting the stream. I chose Commerce as my stream as I believed that it would become a driving fuel for my future goal. I became interested in Commerce as my teachers helped me understand the subject. Since I understood the subject well, I could secure a very good score in the examination.

After completion of my higher secondary education I was not confused about choosing my course. I knew I had to opt for BCom. I enjoyed every moment of college life, sometimes bunked classes too but without compromising on my studies. I secured satisfactory marks in the exams and obtained my degree.

After graduation, I was confused whether to opt for MBA, CA or MCom. After serious thinking and with the advice and support of my college teacher, I decided to choose MBA.

Choosing a college was not so easy especially for MBA since there are numerous colleges in India offering management programmes. But at last I found a college of my choice- Sambhram Academy of Management Studies, Bengaluru. I preferred it because I felt there was something different about it. Moreover, some of my old friends too were studying in that college.

How I cracked college admission

My preparation for MBA started a year before the completion of my graduation degree. I took 6 months of coaching for CAT at TIME institute. I worked hard to practice the subjects for the entrance test. It was too difficult for me to catch up with the subjects especially Quantitative Ability.

I gave CAT exam in the November 2016 & also appeared for MAT exam in December 2016. MAT was easy as compared to CAT. Though I already know that it is difficult to clear CAT as the questions are pretty tough.

My preparation for MBA started a year before the completion of my graduation degree.

I received many call from different MBA colleges – I can’t count the exact number of colleges. My first preference was Rajagiri College, Cochin where I attended my first ever interview & GD. After that I planned to attend the interview session of other colleges too but due to some reasons I was unable to reach those college. I was interviewed telephonically too by few colleges. I was all set to join Adarsh College, Bengaluru but ended up selecting Sambhram Academy of Management Studies, Bengaluru.

What I gained from my college experience

When I entered my class, none of my classmates noticed me, but as the days passed by, I had a big circle of friends. I was very punctual in attending classes, but only for the initial 3 months. Gradually, I was addressed by the term ‘latecomer’, and this caught good attention of my teachers.

After classes, I like to go to the library & and I always make sure that I pick up a book to read. My classes are usually boring and most of the times I fall asleep during the lectures. But one class where I have always been attentive is the Statistics class as the teacher is awesome and the subject is easy to understand.

I am happy to be in this college as I get a good chance to interact with people from different parts of the country & from abroad as well.

The college is situated in a calm place which is why I love to study here. I love the climate and the atmosphere of the place. Until now I have still not got a chance to participate in extracurricular activities in my college, but if given a chance, I will definitely do so.

I am happy to be in this college as I get a good chance to interact with people from different parts of the country & from abroad as well. My communication skills were a little weak, but interacting with people here has helped me extensively in getting command over the language.

My dream is to do many internships & participate in various skill improving activities, so that I can create a better future for myself.
