Mystory@Sandeep Kumar Jha

After my BE degree in Automobile Engineering I wandered in search of my first job, after a long wait and various interviews I got selected in the Honda dealership of the four wheeler, I worked there for 5 months, but I wasn’t satisfied with the job so I moved to my father’s company, but I was always wanted to do something new in the Automobile field like my own business of vehicle modification. So, I decided to do an MBA course which will teach me how to do business and how to do deal with customers.

Preparation for College

After I decided that I will do an MBA course, I started its preparation. I went to coaching classes which taught me the basics of MBA and how to crack CAT and MAT exams, also I bought some books which helps me in preparation of CAT and MAT. After a rigorous preparation of 6 months, I took CAT and MAT. After two months, the results were declared. I secured 70% in MAT and 41% in CAT. The percentage was low but better according to my study style.

Course selection

As per my thinking selection, of course, always depends upon our interest. Thus, as an Automobile Engineer I was always wished that I would join Process Management or Import and Export Management because I am very interested in these fields, so I selected my first course. I chose Digital Media Marketing as my second preference.

Selection of College

To choose the best college for the specialisation I had decided to pursue, I contacted many education consultants.

Many consultants provided me details of various colleges, but I wasn’t completely satisfied so I started searching by myself. I checked various education portals including shiksha.com. I searched for colleges on the basis of their ranking and reachability from my location. I selected 3 to 4 colleges in Bangalore, 3 to 4 in Pune or 3-4 in Delhi. However, I gave interviews in Delhi because of the cultural familiarity. I am from North India so Delhi was most suitable for me in this regard. I gave interviews in many Delhi colleges but among of them I selected EMPI Business School.

Now to the question why I choose EMPI Business School, Delhi, the reasons are listed below:

•  EMPI was giving me the specialisation of my choice; and training and skills that I will need in future.

•  Faculty of this College is very good, they have a good corporate knowledge and good teaching style.

•  The hostel is the main plus point of this college. It is a fully residential campus which is very good for out-station students studying in Delhi.

•  EMPI’s location is like a heaven. It is located away from the crowded areas and the surrounding is covered with greenery.

•  Corporate Connection of this college is mind-blowing and Alumni network is good too.
