What is IIM?

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) was established in 1961 with two of its most reputed campuses – IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Calcutta becoming operational. In the next few years, the number of IIMs increased to six. Between 2008 and 2015, fourteen new IIMs were launched to cater to the aspirations of young India. Oldest of these new IIMs is IIM Shillong established in 2008, followed by IIM Ranchi and IIM Rohtak in 2009. In 2010, IIM Raipur was launched and in the following year (2011) three new institutes were established –IIM Kashipur, IIM Trichy, IIM Udaipur.
