NMAT 2015 is knocking on the doors. The exam commences tomorrow, October 7, and will continue till December 20, 2014. Conducted by Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), NMIMS Management Aptitude Test (NMAT) scores are used for admission to various MBA and PGDM programmes.

NMAT exam pattern hasn’t changed much in the last two years. The exam is held for two hours. A total of 120 questions are divided in three sections: Language skills, Quantitative skills and logical reasoning. There’s no negative marking. Since the exam hasn’t changed much, it is more important to fine-tune your preparation strategy than adopt new approach.

Here are a few tips last minute tips:

1. Speed: Candidates have to attempt 120 questions in 120 minutes; which means, there’s one minute per question. Speed is of utmost importance with NMAT 2015.

2. Confidence: Start the exam with the section you are most comfortable with. This will boost your confidence. Quickly attempt the easy questions and move on the next level of difficult questions.

3. Attempt all questions: There’s no negative marks. So, don’t leave any questions. Attempt all questions, even if it’s a random guess.

4. Retake: The best part of NMAT exam is retake. If you are unsatisfied by the first attempt, re-schedule or re-take the exam again.

5. Exam-day documents: Don’t forget to carry the essential documents for the exam. Here’s a detailed list for the same.

6. Keep Calm: Last but not the least, keep cool. Relax well the day before. Reach the centre before time. All the best!
