Let’s take a detailed look at the NMAT by GMAC analysis for this year section wise:

Language Skills

According to few experts and test takers Shiksha spoke to, this section was easy and questions could be attempted within the given time-frame. There were two passages in reading comprehension section (about 300 words each) with medium difficulty level.

Candidates with more than 18 accurate attempts can hope to score well in the section.

Quantitative Skills

All test takers Shiksha spoke to confirmed that there were questions from both Data Interpretation and Quantitative Analysis.  The section had quite a few problems on Data Sufficiency. Overall, the section was predictable with medium difficulty level. There were questions on geometry, arithmetic, time-based problems, algebra, etc.

Candidates with more than 34 accurate attempts can hope to score well in the section.

Logical Reasoning

This section received mixed reviews with some candidates calling it lengthy, others tackling it within the given timeframe. The section had problems on arrangements, blood relations, venn diagrams, input-output, cause-effect, statements and conclusions, coding decoding, etc.

Candidates with more than 30 accurate attempts can hope to score well in the section.

 Overall Analysis

Overall, NMAT 2015 was a predictable paper.  True to its word, GMAC has introduced no new surprises this year. NMAT by GMAC is conducted by Pearson VUE.

However, it seems that the number of test takers on Day 1 is on the lower side, as Shiksha.com could find very few DAY 1 candidates. We can expect more candidates to take the exam in the following days.

Two Re-takes

The exam will continue till December 19, 2015 (75-day test window). Candidates can start rescheduling the exam from today. One can take the exam for a total of three times (One exam, two retakes / reattempts). The best of three scores are considered during admission. Candidates can take a look at the important dates.
