NMAT exam schedule has been announced by the conducting authority Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). The exam will be held over a 75-day window from October 6 to December 19, 2015.

Candidates who are willing to take NMAT by GMAC this year can apply for the same latest by October 5, 2015.

The registrations can be made online at the official website of the exam. It is advisable for test-takers to read the instructions before filling the application form.

This year candidates can register for the exam through their Mobile phone. The registration fee for the exam is Rs 1600 + applicable taxes. Applicants can apply for up to seven programmes under the registration fee.

NMAT is a computer-based test conducted all around the country. This year the exam is scheduled to be held in 18 cities at 27 exam centres. Some cities are offering multiple test centres to choose from. NMAT by GMAC will not be conducting at any location out of India.

Test Takers with Disabilities

Test centres under NMAT by GMAC have special arrangements for test takers with disability. To ensure that such applicants receive required help at test centres, accommodations can be arranged. Requests by test takers with disability for accommodations have to be made at the time of registration for the exam.

Disabilities for which accommodations can be provided:

  • Mobility impairment
  • Learning disability
  • Blindness (low vision to no vision)
  • Leprosy
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Others

Special arrangements that may be provided:

  • Reader
  • Extra time
  • Large fonts
  • Mobility assistance
  • Applicants with vision impairments will be allowed to be assisted by a scribe. Interested candidates have to bring their own scribe. Requests for scribe must be submitted for approval in the given format.

Candidates found providing false information shall not be allowed to take the exam and will be barred for admission to colleges under NMAT examination.

The official website of NMAT by GMAC has clearly mentioned that “any candidate with a disability may not receive the required assistance at the test centre if he/she provides an incomplete certificate, provides the certificate after closure of the registration window, and doesn’t provide the scribe request in the prescribed format. If the accommodation request is denied, the candidate will receive an email notification. Any candidate who provides a false certificate shall be barred from taking the test and must forfeit the test fee”.
