QS World University Rankings: IIM A, B, and C among top 50 B-Schools
India’s top three B-schools, the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM A), the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM B) and the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM C) have been ranked among the top 50 management schools for business masters programmes. The recently released, QS World University Rankings for Business Masters (2018) has placed IIM A on 22nd, IIM B on 23rd and IIM C on 46th positions.
The top three IIMs of the country bagged these ranks in the Masters in Management category for their flagship PGP in Management programme.
This is the first ever rankings by QS in management category. Top B-Schools from across the globe have been ranked under a number of heads like Global MBA, Masters in Finance, Masters in Business Analytics and Masters in Management.

HEC, Paris, London Business School and ESADE, Barcelona have been ranked No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 respectively, in the Masters in Management category.
In the Masters in Finance category, London Business School has been ranked No.1 followed by MIT (Sloan) and HEC, Paris at No. 2 and No. 3, respectively. On the other hand, in the Masters in Business Analytics category, MIT (Sloan) has been ranked at the top. McCombs, Texas bagged the second rank in this category and USC (Marshall), California bagged the third rank.
In the Global Masters category, IIM Ahmedabad has been ranked No. 49 and IIM Bangalore No. 58. The only non-IIM in the list, Indian School of Business has been ranked No. 93.
Among Asian institutes, IIM Ahmedabad has been ranked No. 7, IIM Bangalore No. 9 and Indian Schools of Business No. 12.
Management institutes of India have fared better in QS Rankings for 2018 in comparison to Indian universities in Asian region. The top three Engineering institutes - IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi and IIT Madras ranked 34th, 41st and 48th respectively. Read complete report here
QS World University rankings are based on factors like employability, alumni outcome and value for money i.e. how much time it takes for a student to earn return on investment which is about 51 months in MBA.
