Selecting a business school is often the single most important decision for an MBA aspirant. Candidates want to know the average salary earned, top firms where alumni is working and so forth. Collating such details from various sources can be a daunting task.

To make college selection easy, Shiksha.com has launched the Career Compass tool, powered by Naukri.com. This tool allows MBA aspirants to select a college based on their desired profile or job.

Users can access the Career Compass tool from various pages for instance: Ranking page, MBA course home page, college details and so on. With the help of Shiksha Career Compass, candidates and users can view the list of several colleges along with the details of alumni working in a specified company or a job function.

The data has been provided by Naukri.com, the first online job portal of India, which has employment data of nearly 17 years.

Steps to use Career Compass Tool

Here are some steps on how to use Career Compass tool:

1. Select your preferred job function (such as sales, marketing, HR etc.) or a company from the ring donuts as shown in the picture below.

According to your selection, a chart will present / show below with more information about various colleges. The information will include salary data, fees, number of alumni and so on as per job function (View Fig 2).

 

The second and third donut (blue and green) will also change according to the job function selection. They’ll reflect the top firms where the alumni is working and the top cities/locations where the college alumni is studying.

2. Users can also opt to select individual functions in each donut such as function (sales, marketing, HR etc), company and college location to view tailored results in college and alumni information chart (as shown in fig: 3).

 

 

3. In the college and alumni chart, users can view the following:

• Institute fees
• Salary details based on naukri data
• Job functions of alumni
• Other companies where college alumni is working
