Shiksha.com launches Alumni Employment Stats from Naukri.com to help you make better career decisions

 

A business school and its programmes are often judged by the success and placement of its alumni. What is the average salary earned? Where are the graduates working? What is the job profile? These questions are foremost on a candidate’s mind while seeking a B-school for admission.

Keeping the above factors in mind, Shiksha.com has collaborated with Naukri.com to present a brand new feature, ‘Alumni Employment Stats’. This will help candidates explore how the alumni of a particular B-school are currently placed – both in terms of average salary earned and employment categorised by their specialisation. The data has been provided by Naukri.com, India’s leading portal for job seekers. Naukri.com is the first online job portal of India and has employment data of nearly 17 years.

The feature is available for 408 management colleges and 933 full-time MBA courses offered in these colleges. It currently available on the desktop version and will soon be on Shiksha mobile site too.

Alumni Employment Stats has two key data points – (i) average salary by work experience and
(ii) employment details by specialisation.

As the name suggests, the first point tells us about the average salary earned by the college alumni at various levels of work experience. Take a look at the screen-shot below:

The second point explores the employment details of the alumni according to specialisation. The users need to select a certain specialisation of their choice as shown below:

 

On selecting the specialisation, the details can be further viewed at two levels –

• Various companies where the alumni are currently working and,
• Business functions these alumni are involved in (such as consulting, analytics, and so on) 

 

How to find it

Step 1: Visit the MBA course page on any institute at Shiksha.com.

Step 2: Scroll down on the institute page. A ‘Jump to’ widget will automatically appear on the left side of the page (view screen shot below).

Step 3: Click on ‘Alumni Employment Stats’ tab on the ‘Jump to’ widget. It will automatically scroll to the new feature.
