CAT 2015 notification will be released on Sunday, July 26, 2015. The notification will contain details of exam date, registration and changes in CAT 2015 paper pattern.

This was informed by the official media cell of IIM Ahmedabad and CAT 2015 Convener Professor Tathagata Bandyopadhyay.

TCS will continue as the test-taking agency for CAT 2015 exam. Earlier this year, Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad appointed Professor Tathagata Bandyopadhyay as the new CAT 2015 convenor. He is also in-charge of the admission process for 2015 batch.

“Every year we review CAT and make certain changes- both operational and content,” said Professor Bandyopadhyay to Shiksha.com.

As per information, CAT 2015 will be held on a single day over two sessions instead of four-session window spread over two days like last year.

“For CAT 2015, at an operational level, we are planning to have it on a single-day in two-sessions rather than on two-days in four sessions like last year. This will help in enhancing operational efficiency and quality of the test content,” said Professor Bandyopadhyay.

CAT 2015 aspiring candidates will witness crucial changes in the exam pattern. Traditionally, CAT exam has been slightly aligned towards candidates with a strong Quant and Mathematics background.

However this year, the CAT authorities and test taking agency will change the weights assigned to different components of the test, in an effort to make it a level-playing field for candidates from different backgrounds. This move will address the issue of academic and gender diversity in IIMs.
