SNAP exam day tips

SNAP 2024 exam is easy but can pose challenge if one is not prepared for the exam day. Candidates must know that only knowing the syllabus thoroughly is not enough in a speed based exam. The key is to how to utilise 60 minutes for attempting maximum questions with maximum accuracy. Under the pressure of clearing SNAP with good score, many candidates become anxious and tend to make few mistakes. One should know that these mistakes are very much avoidable if they have a plan for the exam day.

SNAP 2024 will be held in three sessions - December 8, December 15 and December 21. Most of the candidates have registered for more than one attempt so that they can improve their score, in the subsequent attempts as best of all attempts will be taken into consideration for SIU MBA admission. However, even in the first attempt one should not ignore some important points. Even a silly mistake can cost you crucial marks. Shiksha brings to you a list of mistakes to avoid during SNAP 2024 exam.

SNAP 2024: Mistakes to Avoid on Exam Day

1.Not spending time on reading SNAP questions

Some students make the mistake of jumping to the questions directly as soon as the exam begins. Don't do that. Read the instructions properly as separate time is allotted for it. Read the questions carefully. This will help in deciding which questions to attempt and how much time to allot to each section. Also, when going through the SNAP 2024 question paper, gauge which questions you think are difficult to attempt and skip them. Remember there is negative marking for wrong question, not for leaving it unattempted.

2.Not managing time effectively

Every candidate will get 60 minutes to attempt the SNAP 2024 question paper– this time needs to be divided among the three sections strategically. Focus on solving around 10-15 questions from Quantitative Ability in the initial 15 minutes. Next, try and solve around 20 questions in 25 minutes from the A-LR section and attempt 12 questions in 20 minutes from Language section. Since there will be no differential marking this year, you can make the choice of questions better.

3.Not choosing the right questions

SNAP is a speed-based test and it is very important to use 60 minutes judiciously. Moreover, SNAP has negative marking so mis-judging questions can cost you dearly. Thus, read each question properly and then decide whether you can solve it with 100 per cent accuracy or not in the given time limit. If yes, then attempt the question, but if you have even the slightest of doubt then move to another question. Save your time and marks.

4. Not revising the basic concepts

No matter how well-prepared you are, last-minute revision always helps. However, you cannot revise every topic, so the best thing to do is to revise only the basic concepts and formulae of the topics from which maximum questions are asked. Having fresh memory of concepts and theorems will help you in performing better in SNAP 2024 exam.

5. Taking stress and panicking

Staying cool and calm is the success mantra of cracking not only SNAP but any exam. Be confident about what you have already prepared and forget the stress of under-perfomance. Having a peaceful mind will certainly help you in excelling the exam.
