Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET 2020) is one of the upcoming management entrance exams. Students appearing for this exam can get admission into the state’s top B-schools. So if you are also appearing for TANCET 2020, a comparative analysis of TANCET 2018 & 2019 will give you a fair idea of what type of exam you are likely to encounter on February 29.
TANCET 2019 Exam Analysis
Anna University conducted the exam on June 22-23 for different post-graduation courses. TANCET exam 2019 was somehow difficult, not too hard or not too easy. TANCET exam 2019 was totally pen-paper based exam to check the aptitude of the students. There were 100 multiple choice questions of 1 mark each. Each question comprised five options and time allotted was 120 minutes for 100 questions. There were a total five sections in the questions comprises 20 questions each. For every wrong answer, 1/3rd of total mark per question was deducted. As compared to the previous year, English section was quite easy to solve but quantitative ability, business situation is difficult. In quantitative ability, and questions were from topics such as Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics and Probability.

TANCET 2018 Exam Analysis
The exam was held on May 19 and the result was declared on June 8. The examination was held on pen-paper mode. Total time given was 120 minutes to solve 100 multiple choice questions. Question level was difficult as compared to the exam of 2019.

Marking scheme was 1 mark for each correct answer and for each wrong answer 1/3rd marks has been deducted. Topics covered in verbal ability included one-word substitutions, reading comprehension, synonyms, basic Grammar, phrasal words, idioms and phrases and proverbs. Topics covered in Data interpretation include percentage, histogram, bar graph, problem-based on equivalence, pie chart and line graph. Topic covered in Logical Reasoning includes punch lines, blood-relation analogy, sitting arrangement, mirror images, syllogism, coding-decoding and series. Topics covered in quantitative aptitude included Permutation and Combination, Trigonometry, Statistics and Probability, Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry.
