A group discussion is one of the major criteria to judge the communication skills and the way a person thinks. There are certain topics on which you should have a strong command in order to grab the chance to perform better than other candidates.

Here, in this article, I’ll give you some major topics on which the interviewers may take your group discussion test.

  1. Future of India - ‘Future of India’ is one of the most common topics for group discussion. This topic is used to identify your thinking towards our country as well as your future expectations with yourself and with the others.
  2. Corruption - Corruption is also the most basic topic for group discussion used by the interviewers to know about your mental state towards honesty and justice.
  3. Social media- A curse or a boon? - Today social media is the most trending topic all over the world. Interviewers may use this topic to know about your social life and how much time you spend on social media. According to me you if you want to speak against social media, you should not use bad words instead you should choose more mild words for criticizing the excessive use of social media.
  4. For or against the current government - Your general awareness, activeness, knowledge towards politics and towards the country and some other skills should be challenged by this topic. You should consider all the facts and then conclude your perspective on this topic.

Questions asked in Personal Interview

A personal interview is basically a process in which your confidence, ability of thinking, way of talking and your mentality is judged by some interviewers. Most frequent questions asked in a personal interview are:-

  1. Tell me a bit about yourself - I am sure that you have heard this question a lot of time because this is the most common question asked in an interview. In answer of this question you should have prepared about your all qualifications and traits to impress in interviewers in one go.
  2. Your strength/weakness - Your strength/weakness is basically the way you think about yourself and the interviewers will ask questions about how you can improve your life.
  3. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? - This question is asked in order to enquire about your future aspirations and future planning. You should be clear about your future to answer this question correctly.
  4. Questions about your academics - They will surely ask some questions about your academic studies.
