Akshay Sharma talks about the parameters that interviewers consider while evaluating personal interviews.

I have done B.Tech Electronics and Communications. I have given 5 Technical skills and 3 HR interviews. Here I am sharing my experience with you all.

Skills required for Personal Interview:

  • Good communication skills: For excelling in the personal interview, one must have good communication skills. Good communication skills means having good English speaking ability. You should be able to have a good conversation with the interviewee. A good conversation will definitely help in the
  • Positive Attitude and Confidence: You should be confident while giving answers and should possess a positive attitude. Wrong attitude will put a negative impact on the interviewee. Give answers with confidence and excel in the interview.
  • Apparel and linguistic features: You should be well dressed. Always wear neat and well-ironed clothes. Wear formal clothes and good shoes. It will give a good impact on the interviewee.
  • Technical skills: If your personal interview is a technical interview then be ready with all the important subjects. If you are not having a good grip over technical skills then you will be roasted badly. Have a good grip over basic skills as most of them ask just basic questions.

If in a personal interview more than one panelist is present, all of them will give points to the candidate and the student having maximum score will be selected.

I gave an interview and in that there were three panelists. One for technical skills, one for managerial skills and the third one for HR interview. They will ask questions randomly and you will be selected on the overall performance. In general, there is only one panelist for your interview but in some cases, it can be increased to a maximum of three. So, it will be better for you to prepare yourself for such situations. In your personal round, they will basically judge you on the basis of your communication skills and the way you present yourself in front of the panelist present. So, be an active listener, confident and think positive.

Thanks a lot for reading my article. I wish you all the very best for your personal interview.
