Students’ Speak: What are the options if CMAT score is low or below your expectations?
By: Abdullah Salman
My suggestion is to hitch a training institute because the coaching institutes play a crucial role in imparting strategies and giving a scientific structure to it says Abdullah Salman.
CMAT (Common Management Aptitude Test) is considered to be the second largest exam in our country with nearly 1.2 lakh candidates appearing for it and it is conducted by the NTA (National Testing Agency). It is the most sorted exam after CAT Exam for every management aspirant. The first CMAT exam took place in 2012. However, it has fast become one of the most popular exams in the country. It is widely accepted by more than 500 B-schools in India. Mostly in January end, we could expect the CMAT Exam.

Some tips to prepare for MAT/ATMA especially MAT -
Language Comprehension
Reading questions before reading comprehension makes it easy to seek out the answers well. Grammar plays a crucial role, so make certain to possess an honest command over it. Watch English news and some English newspaper like "The Hindu".
Mathematics Skills
Understand the theories and mug up the formulae. Focus on the questions that are mostly asked. In MAT, there are questions that are generally not asked in other MBA exams, specialise in them. To memorize faster and to remember concepts and formulae for a longer time, make handwritten notes as this would be magical just before exam time for a quick revision. Master the basics and short tricks. Jump over the time-consuming questions.
Data Analysis & Sufficiency
This section is considered the most scoring section. Only practice makes it easy to unravel the questions in less time. Solving last years’ questions helps a lot. Try solving all kinds of questions in time-bound.
Intelligence & Critical Reasoning
Good preparation and high accuracy in this section can fetch you more marks and should assist you in reserving a seat. Only verbal and non-verbal sorts of questions are asked. Analyzing the matter before just guessing the solution may help in reaching the right answer. To prepare this, candidates should solve tons of questions and undergo the model papers. Any good reference book can help you out.
Indian & Global Environment
Questions in this section cover the topics associated with GK and current affairs. This section is often much scoring, to organize well this section, you want to read magazines & newspapers, watch news channels and be updated.
But my sincere suggestion is to hitch a training institute because the coaching institutes play a crucial role in imparting strategies and giving a scientific structure to it. Other than this, a student should be sincere to classes and must put the simplest effort as there is not any substitute for diligence.
Mocks & Test Series
Enrol for any decent mock and test series for knowing your strengths and weaknesses and also to have a pre-hand experience of exam.
