TISS-NET 2014: Selection procedure for admissions

TISS NET 2014 was conducted on December 22, 2013 and the results for the exam was declared on Feb 1, 2014.

TISS-NET PIT/PI rounds (Pre-Interview Test/Personal Interview) for all the Hyderabad campus programmes has begun today (March 24, 2014) at Hyderabad. Click here for more!

The selection of candidates for admission to the post-graduate programmes like MA, MSc, MHA, and MPH happens in two stages and has three components of assessment. The components include a common entrance test (TISS-NET) followed by shortlisted aspirants (based on their performance in the exam) being called for the Pre Interview Test and Personal Interview (PIT/PI).

Marks for Different Components of Assessment

National Common Written Test

100 marks

Pre-Interview Test/GD

50 marks

Personal Interview

75 marks

Total

225 marks

 

The weightage for CET, PIT/GD and PI (General and Reserved Category candidates) is given below for the preparation of final merit lists: CET – 50%; PIT/GD – 20%; PI – 30%.The merit list is prepared on the basis of merit and the preferences indicated by the candidates at the time of filling up the online application form.
