TISSNET 2023 exam was held today in offline mode. Shiksha visited the TISSNET exam centre located in Dilshad Garden, Delhi to speak to exam takers and know their exam taking experience. As per the canididates the exam was moderately difficult  in terms of the level of difficulty. The test takers were ni surprised with the exam difficulty as it was expected to be same to that of previous year. TISSNET 2023 exam was conducted for a duration of 100 minutes. The paper consisted of MCQs divided across three sections.

Shafa: This was my first attempt. For me the exam was difficult. English was easy to attempt, whereas, Mathematrics was difficult. GK was moderatly easy to attempt. GK included maximum questions from current affairs.

Q:   Is TISS Mumbai a good option?

A:

TISS Mumbai is ranked 98 by NIRF 2023 under the University category and 201-250 in QS World University Rankings 2023. Ranked 60 and 99 among the 'University' and 'Overall' categories by the NIRF 2022, TISS is one of the most popular universities for education in the field of Social Sciences. For the past three years, the average and the highest package of the institute also range between INR 20 LPA and INR 30 LPA which also makes it a good option w.r.t placements.

To get admission to TISS Mumbai, candidates must have valid score in entrance tests. The accepted entrance exams are  TISSNET, CUET, NEET PG, and others. 

Q:   Is Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Hyderabad a good college/Institute?

Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Hyderabad is a reputed institute for M.A.. Students can opt these programs to pursue their career in Humanities & Social Sciences. Institute has trained & experienced faculty who deliver these programs. Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Hyderabad has a review rating of 4.1 on the basis of reviews by students. In addition to this, it has been rated 3.5 on campuslife, 4.5 on placements, 5 on faculty and 3 on Infrastructure.

Q:   What is TISS Mumbai famous for?

A:

Tata Institute of Social Sciences was established as the Sir Dorabji Tata Graduate School of Social Work in 1936. The deemed university is approved by UGC (University Grants Commission) and AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education). Tata Institute of Social Sciences is famous for its infrastructure and the various facilities it offers to students. The deemed university has a big campus with a large conference hall and offers various facilities like canteen, transportation services, and provides various other facilities to students.

Mohit: The exam was moderatly difficult.  English was okay to attempt. Mathematics was bit tricky than last year. GK was at moderate level. I took crash course to prepare for TISSNET exam. 

Anjali: TISSNET exam was quite good. According to me the exam was difficult.  English was a good attempt. Mathematics was difficulty to attempt. I did not take any coaching for TISSNET preparation.

Q:   Is MBA course available in TISS Mumbai?

A:

TISS Mumbai doesn't offer a traditional MBA programme, but it does have an alternative option called the EPGDODCL. Specifically, TISS Mumbai offers an EPGDODCL programme focusing on Organization Development and Change. EPGDODCL programme is taught in English. To be eligible for admission, candidates are required to have a minimum of three years of work experience after completing their undergraduate degree. Additionally, candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree that extends for at least 3 years or an equivalent qualification from a recognised university. This degree can be obtained through various educational pathways, such as 10+2+3, 10+2+4, 10+2+2+1 (with a bridge course), or any other educational pattern that meets the prerequisite of completing 15 years of formal education. EPGDODCL programme provided by TISS Mumbai is a 14-months programme.

Q:   How good is TISS Mumbai for MBA?

A:

TISS Mumbai does not have an MBA programme, but instead offers the Executive Postgraduate Diploma (EPGD), Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Organization Development and Change and Executive Postgraduate Diploma in Climate and Disaster Risk Assessments for Sustainability as a comparable alternative. These courses are highly sought after and Candidates should possess a minimum of three years of post-graduation work experience as of August 2024, specifically in managerial or supervisory roles, preferably within the personnel or administration department.

A:

The level of difficulty in the TISSNET MBA test can vary from person to person based on their academic background, study approach, prior test-taking experience, and individual skills. However, with the right approach and preparation, candidates can certainly clear the exam.
