TISSNET 2023 Analysis

  • TISSNET 2023 exam pattern was similar to the previous year.
  • The Mathematical Skills and Logical Reasoning section had three DI sets with three questions each. An attempt of 22-24 was considered a good attempt.
  • The General Awareness section included questions from both static and current affairs with a maximum number of 25 questions from static GK.
  • The English Proficiency section was dominated by Fill in the Blanks, Grammar and Vocabulary. One of the RC was on the impact of the environment on women and another one was on the social & behavioural aspects in games.

TISSNET 2022 Analysis 

  • TISSNET 2022 was similar to last year’s question paper
  • The Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Ability section had a total of 30 questions with 22 from Quant, six from Data Interpretation, and two from Logical Reasoning, This section was the easiest and easy to attempt for the candidate who was well prepared. 
  • The General Awareness section was of moderate difficulty level. There was an equal distribution of questions between Current Affairs and Static GK.
  • The questions in English Proficiency & Language Skills section were of easy to moderate level barring a few from the Fill in the Blanks.

TISSNET 2021 Analysis

  • TISSNET 2021 exam was of no surprise in comparison to previous year.
  • The question paper consisted of three sections:  General Awareness (40 Questions), English Proficiency (30 Questions), and Mathematics & Logical Reasoning (30 Questions).
  • GK section continued to be the fifificult section. 16-17 questions were from current affairs, and remaining 23-24 question were from static GK.
  • The English Proficiency section was moderately difficult. This section consisted of 4 questions on Spotting the Error and 3 questions each on Prepositions and Vocabulary.
  • The Mathematical and Logical Reasoning was a scoring section.

TISSNET 2020 Analysis 

  • TISSNET 2020 question paper was comparatively easier than last year.
  • The questions in Quantitative Aptitude and Logical Reasoning sections were easier whereas the English section was slightly difficult as a few questions on vocabulary were tough.
  • The General Awareness section, keeping with tradition, once again emerged as the toughest of all.

TISSNET 2019 Analysis 

  • TISSNET 2019 General Awareness section consisted of a maximum number of questions from current GK. It covered areas like geography, Science, Sports, Economics, polity and many more. The questions were of a moderate level. Questions in Static GK were difficult to attempt.
  • The level of difficulty for Analytical Ability and Logical Reasoning was moderate. The Data Interpretation section was time-consuming. Attempting 23-25 questions were good.
  • English proficiency section was moderately easy to attempt.

Tata Institute of Social Sciences was established as the Sir Dorabji Tata Graduate School of Social Work in 1936. TISS Mumbai doesn't offer a traditional MBA programme, but it does have an alternative option called the EPGDODCL. Specifically, TISS Mumbai offers an EPGDODCL programme focusing on Organization Development and Change. EPGDODCL programme is taught in English. To be eligible for admission, candidates are required to have a minimum of three years of work experience after completing their undergraduate degree. Additionally, candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree that extends for at least 3 years or an equivalent qualification from a recognised university. This degree can be obtained through various educational pathways, such as 10+2+3, 10+2+4, 10+2+2+1 (with a bridge course), or any other educational pattern that meets the prerequisite of completing 15 years of formal education. EPGDODCL programme provided by TISS Mumbai is a 14-months programme.

Q:   How good is TISS Mumbai for MBA?

TISS Mumbai does not have an MBA programme, but instead offers the Executive Postgraduate Diploma (EPGD), Executive Post Graduate Diploma in Organization Development and Change and Executive Postgraduate Diploma in Climate and Disaster Risk Assessments for Sustainability as a comparable alternative. These courses are highly sought after and Candidates should possess a minimum of three years of post-graduation work experience as of August 2024, specifically in managerial or supervisory roles, preferably within the personnel or administration department.
