TISSNET Eligibility Criteria: Check Qualification, Age Limit, Reservations
TISSNET eligibility criteria mentions the detailed educational qualification requirements and other important instructions that candidates must fulfill before filling the application form.
Tata Institute of Social Sciences also known as TISS releases the eligibility criteria for TISSNET exam. Candidates willing to take admission to MBA programme (M.A in Human Resource Management) must check the detailed eligibility criteria before filling the TISSNET application form. Candidates who will fail to fulfill the prescribed criteria, their candidature will stand cancelled and no grievances will be entertained in this regard.
TISSNET 2024 notification will release tentatively in second week of December 2023. Candidates will be able to fill the TISSNET 2024 application form in online mode only.
TISSNET Eligibility Criteria: Educational Qualification
- Candidates must have completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree of a minimum of three to four years or its equivalent (mandatory requirement of 15 years of formal education) from a recognized institute recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC) of India.
- Candidates who will successfully fulfill the TISSNET eligibility criteria in all respects, all the requirements of their final year eligible degree by October 31, 2024 will be eligible to apply.
- Candidates who will be eligible to apply but are unable to submit the required degree certificates and mark sheets at the time of admission must submit required documents by October 31, 2024, failing to which their provisional admission would stand canceled without any further reference to the candidate. No further extension of the date will be allowed under any circumstances.
- While applying for the MA programme of TISS, candidates studying in the three-year degree programme must have cleared in all the subjects for the first to fourth semesters. Candidates studying in the four-year degree programme must have cleared in all the subjects from first to sixth semesters.
- Candidates will be granted admission on provisional basis until the required degree certificates and mark sheets are submitted as evidence of having successfully completed the eligibility criteria.
- Information provided in the TISSNET application form will be used for final selection process.
- Candidates who will be shortlisted for the personal interview round will be required to produce the original certificates and mark sheets on the date of interview scheduled. Candidates who are appearing in the final year of the qualifying degree will be required to produce the previous semester’s mark sheets. Candidates who will not bring the required documents shall not be allowed to appear for the personal interview.

There is no upper age limit to apply for TISSNET exam. Candidates irrespective of their age can apply for the MA programme of TISS.
TISSNET Registrations
TISS conducts the registrations for TISSNET in online mode. Candidates willing to appear for the TISS National Entrance Test must fill the application form. To fill the complete application form candidates must first create the login credentials and pay the application fee.
