UPESMET 2022 Last Week Preparation Tips

Revision: Revision is key to cracking any test. And UPESMET is no exception. Hence, candidates should go through all the important topics across the sections as stated in the UPESMET syllabus. Each section carries equal weightage, hence one should focus equally on all sections. A skewed performance decreases the chance of cracking the test. Hence, aspirants should go through all the important topics and bridge all the preparation gaps that may be existing. They should also go through the shortcut methods and formulae which would help them solve questions in a shorter duration.

Brush up areas of doubt: UPES Dehradun aspirants should utilise the remaining few days for solving any doubt or questions that they may have. They can either take the help of their mentor or seniors or from the social media forums. This is the last chance to clarify the topic-wise questions or doubts and this will increase the chance to get a higher score than their expectations. Aspirants must brush up on the topics of doubt at the earliest, better would be the chance to imbibe it as they would get a couple of days for revision and practice, otherwise, there would be last-minute hustle and anxiety.

Do not start new topics: This is not the right time to begin a new topic from the UPESMET syllabus. Since there are just a few days to go, test-takers would not be able to learn the concepts in this short duration and would face unnecessary anxiety. Moreover, the last-minute starting of new topics will also jeopardise the confidence level of candidates and the preparation level in other topics which they have already completed so far.

Mock test: In the last week before UPESMET 2022, aspirants have the time to take a couple of mock tests and get those evaluated and analysed properly to finalise the test-taking strategy. Taking mock tests in the last week will also give them an idea of their overall preparation level and the areas that need improvement or should be avoided. Based on this analysis, candidates should decide the final test-taking strategy in terms of time management, section-wise order of attempt, topics to attempt and skip. Pre-deciding the strategy will help take the test in a systematic manner.

Ensure computer system and internet compliance: UPESMET is an Internet-based Test (IBT), which is conducted in an online proctored mode. UPES Dehradun issues guidelines to take the test which includes the computer resolution, uninterrupted power and internet supply, etc. Candidates should also ensure that they have a properly functioning web camera and microphone and keep it switched on throughout the duration in order to qualify for the test. They must ensure that there is no one else in the room from where they are taking the test and do not involve in any malpractice, otherwise, they will be disqualified from the test.
