The CSR-Centre of Excellence (CoE) affiliated to Mysore University has invited applications for the country’s and Southeast Asia’s first ever Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Early this year, finance minister P Chidambaram announced a new Companies Bill, making it mandatory for firms to spend at least 2% of their net profit on CSR. Keeping in view the way CSR will emerge as an area of opportunities, the varsity launched the management programme, informed a senior official.

The centre has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) and the Standing Conference of Public Enterprises for placements.
