The OMR sheet will contain the number of positive answers and negative answers.
XAT officials started publishing the entire scanned answer sheets of each candidate 2015 after some reports of disparity in scores emerged. The authorities had mentioned that the total percentile is not the average of the percentiles of three sections.
According to experts, XAT 2016 had a difficult paper with no new surprises. “Quantitative Aptitude was time consuming, Verbal Ability was tough nut to crack with misleading options and Decision making was only saving grace and if that wasn’t enough, a beautiful essay writing topic and dynamic GK was staring at the aspirants’ face. All in all a welcome to the new year with a paper that made everyone realise the importance of a preparation,” said Parasharan Chari. Check out XAT 2016 analysis.
XAT results are expected to be declared anytime now. Traditionally the results are declared within a month of the exam.
XAT 2016 expected cut-offs
Shiksha spoke to various experts to figure out the expected cut-offs.
“The cut-off for XLRI's Business Management is likely to be 33-35,” said Gautam Puri from Career Launcher.
According to Shiksha expert Parasharan Chari, COO of Endeavour Careers, "A sectional score of around 5 in verbal, around 10 in Decision making & 8 in quant will be good enough for a sectional cutoff. This means a total of around 28 would take care of a 93-94 percentile. However for an aspirant to sit comfortable, he would have to sit with a score of around 36+ for him to reach a score of 98+ percentile so that he can cash in during the final admissions stage."
XAT 2016 scores will be used for admission by various top MBA colleges.
