XAT 2017 eligibility & test centres

Candidates appearing for XAT 2017 must check that they are eligible for the exam. Doing so will reduce the chances of application rejection. Registration for XAT 2017 has begun and interested candidates can apply till November 30, 2016 and till December 11, 2016 with late fee.

Candidates must note that their respective applications might get rejected if the same does not comply by the eligibility criteria of the exam.

Shiksha brings to you the eligibility criteria of XAT 2017.

• The candidate applying for the exam must be a graduate in any discipline. Candidates must note that graduation degree should have been obtained from a recognized university or institute.
• Final year students are also eligible for the exam.
• There is no graduation percentage cutoff in XAT.
• At the time of final admission, a candidate’s past academic records and work experience will be considered, too.

Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) is a national-level management aptitude test conducted by Xavier School of Management, Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI) – Jamshedpur. The mode of exam is pen and paper, and the exam is considered as one of the toughest exams in management.

XAT 2017 will be held on January 8, 2017. XAT 2016 saw some changes in the marking scheme and duration of the exam – there has been no official change in the same till now. Keeping in mind last year’s trend, the exam will be of 3.5 hours, and will constitute of the following sections:

• Quantitative Aptitude (QA) & Data Interpretation (DI)
• English Language & Logical Reasoning
• Decision Making
• General Knowledge
• Essay Writing
