XAT 2017 registration begins, here's how to apply

The application process for XAT 2017 has commenced and will go on till November 30, 2016. The candidates can apply till December 11, 2016 with late fee.

The exam is scheduled to be held on January 8, 2016.

While filling in the application form, candidates must be extremely careful for any wrong information can lead to cancellation of application form. Also, candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria of the exam before filling in the application form. Applications of candidates who do not fulfill the eligibility criteria will be rejected by the officials. Also, applications that do not meet the deadline or are incomplete will be rejected.

From last year onwards, the application process for XAT and XLRI programs was made common. Candidates applying for the exam must note that the application process is only online. The application fee this year is 1600. Candidates applying for XLRI Jamshedpur programs need to make an additional fee of Rs 300 for each program.

To make payment, candidates can choose any of the following modes:

• Credit/Debit card
• Net banking
• Cash
• Demand Draft

 

To fill in XAT 2017 application form, the following steps need to be performed:

• Visit the official website of XAT 2017
• Enter details and register yourself
• XAT ID and a password will be provided to the candidates
• Login using the credentials
• Once logged in, fill in XAT 2017 application form by providing personal details, educational background, work experience, preferred test city etc.

Candidates who wish to apply for XLRI programs need to make a choice of their preferred program including:

• Human Resource Management (HRM)
• General Management Program (GMP)
• Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (BM)

To complete the application process, applicants need to upload the following:

• Candidate’s recent passport size colour photograph
• Signature of the candidate

Both the photograph and signature should be in .jpg or .jpeg format. Also, candidates must keep in mind that the file size must not exceed 1 MB.

Once the application form is complete, candidates will receive an application confirmation message – a printout of the same needs to be taken.

To complete the application process, the application fee needs to be paid through either of the earlier mentioned modes. If the candidate chooses to pay the fee by Demand Draft, he/she must ensure that the DD along with the page that displayed the application confirmation message must be sent to XAT office within 15 days of the issuance of the DD.

The DD must be drawn in favour of "XLRI Jamshedpur A/c XAT" payable at Jamshedpur.

Candidates who register successfully, will get access to their respective admit cards. The admit cards are expected to issued on December 20, 2016.
