Speaking on the occasion Father P Christie SJ, Director of XLRI- Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur, expressed his happiness about the new XLRI campus in Delhi-NCR area. Read further to know details.
Xavier School of Management welcomed its new batch of students virtually for the upcoming academic year. A total of 477 students joined the MBA programmes offered by the institute. The induction was conducted for Business Management Programme (PGDM-BM 2020-22 batch) with 181 students and Human Resource Management Programme (PGDM-HRM 220-22 batch) with 181 students. The other courses include the Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) with 15 students and Executive Fellow Programme in Management (EXEC-FPM) with 28 students. The new campus of XLRI Delhi-NCR also welcomed 72 students for the Business Management (PGDM-BM 2020-22 batch).
Father P Christie SJ, Director of XLRI- Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur, Father Sebastian George, SJ, Director, XLRI | Delhi-NCR Campus and the Dean (Academics), Professor Ashis Pani conducted the welcome ceremony. Director of XLRI- Xavier School of Management, Jamshedpur stated that it is the first time that XLRI conducted the inauguration of a new batch online considering the ongoing COVID-19 situation. He also informed the students that the classes will begin online giving a new set of experiences and the institute will make sure to provide the students with a similar learning experience as in the classrooms.
Speaking on the occasion he expressed his happiness about the new XLRI campus in Delhi-NCR area and said that one of the reasons for going to Delhi is the growing demand for business leaders triggered by the economic growth in India.
While speaking about the new campus in Delhi, the director further added that the two campuses will remain a part of the same registered society with the same governing board and the same treasurer for all the campuses. He further stated that the institutional strategy visualizes both Jamshedpur and Delhi campuses as two separate entities of the same institution and the students of both the campuses will belong to the institution.
Orientation Programme for Students
XLRI will conduct a special orientation programme on virtual platform for the students to update their knowledge before the regular classes commence. The first-year students will also undergo a compulsory Village Exposure programme and the Outbound Adventure programme. Both the programmes will be specially designed for the students to create awareness about the realities of rural India and also foster the sense of team spirit among the students.
