XLRI wins AICTE-CII National Award for Best Industry Linked Institute in Management in India

Xavier School of Management (XLRI), Jamshedpur, has emerged as the Best Industry Linked Institute in Management in the country, winning the AICTE-CII National Award. Dr Pranabesh Ray, dean, academics at XLRI received the award from Kapil Sibal, Union Minister for Communications and Information Technology at a formal function in Delhi.

The award was based on a survey done across AICTE approved technical institutes of various streams with the objective to showcase best industry practices. A total of 1,050 AICTE approved institutes from established engineering, management, pharmacy and architecture institutes, and from emerging engineering and management institutes, participated in the voluntary survey.

Fr. E. Abraham, director of XLRI commented, “XLRI has always put strong efforts to make its curriculum world-class and deliver it in the most effective manner. It constantly scans the developments in business and in society and tries to proactively meet the challenges. XLRI has always been involved with the industry and tried not only meeting the current demands, but goes one step ahead and finds out what is the next biggest need of the industry and tries to meet it. Our faculty is also deeply involved in research and consultancy, while our students are given ample opportunities for face- to- face interaction with the industry.”
