A full-time MBA programme is a two year-long post-graduation degree. Also known as a regular MBA, it empowers students with an in-depth knowledge of business administration and management. Autonomous educational bodies cannot use the term MBA and they normally have to mention two-year PGDM (being equivalent to MBA).
PGDM or Post Graduate Diploma in Management is also a two-year long diploma course after graduation, which is offered by autonomous or private institutes but not by universities. A two-year PGDM is equivalent to MBA. All autonomous/private universities in India cannot award MBA and they should award a PGDM (IIMs also confer PGDM for those joining PGP).
