All India Institute of Medical Sciences, popularly known as AIIMS is one of the most sought-after medical colleges in India. Medical aspirants from not just India but across the world aspire to get through one of the AIIMS campuses, especially the oldest and top-ranked ones. Aspirants often ask, how many AIIMS in India are there. At present, there are 26 AIIMS colleges in India out of which majority are functional, and the rest are yet to be operational. Some of the AIIMS colleges in India have started to offer classes but are under construction.

In February 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated six AIIMS colleges across India, namely, AIIMS Vijaypur, AIIMS Rajkot, AIIMS Bathinda, AIIMS Rae Bareily and AIIMS Kalyani. 

AIIMS used to conduct its own MBBS entrance exam which was scrapped in 2019 and the admission is now conducted through the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) from the academic year 2021-22. On the other hand, INI CET  is the qualifying exam for admission to post-graduate courses at AIIMS and INI SS exam is held for admission to Super Speciality courses. Q:   Can I get into AIIMS Bhopal with 1500 rank?

A:

AIIMS Bhopal accepts NEET UG scores for admission to the MBBS course. The AIIMS Bhopal MBBS Cutoff was released for Round 1. The Cutoff was released for different categories under the AI and the HS quota. The Cutoff rank for the General AI category was 992. Therefore, student under the General AI category cannot  get MBBS at 1500. However the admission depends on category and quota as well. 

 

Q:   Can I get a seat at AIIMS Deoghar with a rank of 7000 in NEET?

A:

Yes, as per AIIMS Deoghar cutoff 2024, the institute is accepting NEET admission for the MBBS course at a cutoff rank of 7000. Based on AIIMS Deoghar NEET cutoff 2024 for the Round 5, the MBBS course had the closing rank of 16179 for the General AI category. So, it is easy for the candidates to get into AIIMS Deoghar at a 7000 rank.

Q:   What is the closing rank for MBBS at AIIMS Raebareli?

A:

NEET Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For general category under All India, R2 closing cutoff 2024 was 2852. Cut off are differant when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. Admission to Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in AIIMS Raebareli - All India Institute of Medical Sciences is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam NEET. AIIMS Delhi has been seated at the top position in the NIRF Ranking for seven years in a row and others are expected to join the league of top medical colleges of India in the future. Q:   What is the rank required to get admission to PG Diploma at AIIMS Rishikesh?

A:

The marks required to get admission to PG Diploma at AIIMS Rishikesh is between 599 - 550 and rank is between 1248 - 4790. For the general category, the minimum percentile is 50 percent, while for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe category candidates, it is 40 percent. The cutoff is determined based on various factors such as the number of candidates appearing for the exam, the difficulty level of the exam, and the availability of seats. The cutoff for PG Diploma courses is usually released along with the merit list.

Q:   Can I expect a seat for MD at AIIMS Rishikesh with 1590 rank in INI CET? I belong to Unreserved category.

A:

AIIMS Rishikesh accepts valid INI CET scores, followed by a counselling process for admission to MD, MS and MCh courses. The INI CET 2024 cutoff for the July session was concluded with the release of the Round 3 Seat Allotment result, wherein the closing cutoff ranks for MD courses ranged between 1066 and 7880 for the students belonging to the unreserved category. So, considering the AIIMS Rishikesh INI CET cutoff 2024, candidates with a cutoff rank up to 7880 are eligible to get admission to MD courses at AIIMS Rishikesh

How to Take Admission to AIIMS in India?
