BSc Nursing admission through NEET 2021 scores
For the first time, National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2021 scores will be utilised for admission to BSc Nursing courses. The students can check the official notice on the official website neet.nta.nic.in.
The official notice states, “The Result of NEET (UG) - 2021 may be utilized by other Entities of Central and State Governments, in accordance with their respective eligibility criteria / other norms /applicable regulations/guidelines/ rules. The result data will also be utilized for BSc (H) Nursing courses in accordance with their respective eligibility criteria / other norms /applicable regulations/guidelines/ rules.”
The NEET-UG 2021 scores will now be considered for admission to multiple BSc (H) Nursing courses and may be used by other entities of Central and State government as per their eligibility criteria for admission to BSc Nursing courses.
This came after the advice of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. Moreover, the deadline to apply for NEET-UG 2021 has been extended to August 10.
NEET is the national level medical entrance exam for admission to MBBS, BDS and several other medical and paramedical courses in India. NEET 2021 is scheduled to be held on September 12. This year, National Testing Agency (NTA) has introduced various changes in the exam pattern, application process, cities, and exam centres.
