FMGE 2021 exam on June 18; registration begins today

NBE has announced dates for FMGE 2021 June session. As per the notification, FMGE 2021 exam will be held on June 18. Candidates can register from April 16 till May 6, 2021. Check more details here.

The National Board of Examination has announced FMGE 2021 exam dates for the June session. In an official notification released on April 15, 2021, NBE announced that FMGE 2021 exam will be conducted on June 18, 2021. Candidates will be able to register themselves on the official website of NBE from April 16, 2021 from 3 pm onwards. Candidates can make FMGE 2021 registration till May 6, 2021. FMGE result will be declared by June 30, 2021, the notification said.

Candidates who wish to apply for FMGE 2021 June session are advised to check eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. Candidates also need to keep track of FMGE 2021 dates so that they won’t miss any important events related with FMGE 2021.

FMGE, which stands for Foreign Medical Graduate Examination or FMGE is a licensing examination conducted by the National Board of Examinations (NBE). An Indian citizen or OCI who has completed their primary medical qualification from an institution outside India, but wishes to practice in India needs to clear this examination to register with the Medical Council of India (MCI)/State Medical Council (SMC). FMGE is conducted twice a year in online mode. Candidates must note that FMGE is not an entrance test and cannot be used to take admission in any institute. It is merely a licensing examination for foreign medical graduates. 

FMGE 2021 Registration: How to Fill the Application Form Online?

1. Go to the official website of nbe.edu.in
2. Select “FMGE”
3. Under the links sections, click on “New Registration”
4. Read the instructions carefully and select “Close”
5. Enter the following details
   • Candidate’s name (Has to be entered twice)
   • Date of Birth (DD/MM/YYYY)
   • Gender (Male/Female/Transgender)
   • Nationality (Indian/ Others)
   • Mobile number
   • Alternate mobile number
   • Email Id (Has to be entered twice)
   • Enter Captcha and Submit
6. User Id and password will be sent to the registered email Id and password
7. Login again using the above credentials
8. Click on “Go to application form”
9. Fill the FMGE application form
   1. Personal details
      1. Father’s Name and Mother’s Name
      2. Identification Details
      3. Communication Address
   2. Qualification Details
      1. Enter the 10+2/equivalent exam
      2. BDS/Primary Dental Qualification detail
   3. Test Center Details
10. Upload the submissions mentioned above
11. Pay the application fee of Rs 7,080 (Rs 6,000+ 18% GST across categories)
12. Save and print the FMGE application form

In FMGE 2020 December session, as many as 19,122 candidates appeared for the FMGE test, while 3,722 aspirants qualified the entrance test. As per the FMGE 2021 exam pattern, the test paper will comprise a total of 300 multiple choice questions from Pre-Clinical, Clinical and Para-Clinical subjects taught at MBBS course. FMGE 2021 exam paper will have two sections, A & B. Candidates will get two and half hour to solve each section of 150 questions.
