Medical practitioners who fail to break away from their daily practice to acquire specialist skills now have a reason to cheer up. They can certainly pursue new International PG courses launched by Hansa Medcell (a marketing communications and services group and an independent provider of Continuing Medical Education).The program will be offered in collaboration with Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, US, and can be pursued through distance education in Cardiology, Diabetology and Rheumatology.

Licensed to be offered in South Asia, the program has been developed by Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in association with the Medical Education and Scientific Foundation, New York.

Program details:

It is highly important that academic pursuits and practical learning complement each other rather than being viewed as mutually exclusive. All These post graduate programmes aim at recognising and addressing this requirement by endowing world class education at the convenience of a doctor’s clinic. Through these programmes learners acquire the latest, clinically relevant information in the field and also gain a detailed insight into the disease, its complications and its management.

Eligibility:for all these programmes a Post Graduate Degree in Medicine or a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine with a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in the specialty is required

For whom: General Practitioner, Consultant Physician

Fee: The subsidized fees for doctors in South Asia is Rs 60,000

Date of release: 1st July 2012 - 1st February 2014
