Who is eligible to apply for JIPMER PG 2020?
JIPMER PG eligibility criteria for nationality
MD/ MS course: Indian Nationals or Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) or Foreign Nationals can apply for this course.
MDS Course: Indian Nationals or Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) can apply for this course.
Educational Qualification specified in the JIPMER PG eligibility criteria
MD/MS Course: The candidate must possess MBBS or an equivalent degree from an institute recognised by the Medical Council of India.
MDS Course: The candidates must possess BDS or an equivalent degree from an institute recognised by the Dental Council of India.
Rotating Internship/Practical Training
MD/ MS/ MDS course: Candidate must complete the compulsory rotating internship/Practical training of 12 months by December 30, 2019.
Minimum marks required in the qualifying examination according to the eligibility criteria of JIPMER 2020
- Candidates belonging to the unreserved category or OBC category need to score a minimum of 55% marks in the qualifying examination to be eligible for JIPMER PG 2020 examination.
- Candidates from economically weaker sections (EWS) need a minimum aggregate of 55% in the qualifying examination.
- OCI/ Foreign nationals/ Government of India sponsored candidates also need to score a minimum of 55% marks in the qualifying examination.
- For candidates belonging to the SC/ST category, the minimum marks required in the qualifying examination is 50%. PWD candidates who claim reservation under SC/ST quota will also need to score 50% to be eligible for JIPMER PG.
