NBEMS releases application form for 'Post MBBS Diploma Courses'; Apply by September 30
The Board has launched Post MBBS two-year Diploma courses in the various specialties such as Anesthesiology, Family Medicine, Radio-Diagnosis, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Paediatrics, Otorhinolaryngology(ENT) & Tuberculosis & Chest Disease.
The National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has invited applications from eligible hospitals for seeking accreditation for Post MBBS Diploma courses (20221-22 Cycle for Admissions Session 2022). Hospitals interested in offering NBEMS Admissions 2021 in said diploma course must note that the Board has launched Post MBBS two-year Diploma courses in the various specialties such as Anesthesiology, Family Medicine, Radio-Diagnosis, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Paediatrics, Otorhinolaryngology(ENT) and Tuberculosis & Chest Disease. According to the official notification released by the Board, the said Diploma qualifications are recognised medical qualifications as per The Gazette of India notification dated August 6, 2020.
NBEMS commenced the application process on July 9, 2021, and the last date to submit online forms is September 30, 2021. Meanwhile, the last date for sending the receipt of the hard copy of the application form at the Board’s office is October 31, 2021. Considering the ongoing pandemic situation, the application process is being conducted via virtual mode only. The notification reads, “the application forms have to be submitted only in online mode through Online Accreditation Application Portal (OAAP) which can be accessed through NBEMS website, i.e. www.natboard.edu.in.”
According to the information bulletin released by the Board, the applicant hospital shall be required to register the application for each specialty online in which accreditation is desired. “The hospital shall be required to choose one of the DNB or FNB programme administered by National Board of Examinations, and the nature of respective application i.e. Fresh or Renewal, in which the hospital is willing to seek accreditation. The prescribed accreditation fee for applicant specialty should have been paid beforehand as the hospital shall be required to update the details of the accreditation processing fee paid for the applicant department. Therefore, the hospital should have fee payment information readily available for updating under requisite fields in the online portal,” the bulletin reads.
