Social distancing is the new normal: An overcrowded exam centre is just what everyone wants to avoid. The exam centres will not only see hundreds of candidates but an equal number of parents accompanying them.

Fear and anxiety: A major factor that may cause many to sit at home and not appear for the examination is the paranoia associated with the pandemic. Until people feel safe outside their homes, parents may not allow their children to appear for NEET 2020.

Can NTA conduct NEET 2020 online?

We also came across a few suggestions from the aspirants of NEET 2020 to conduct the examination online. Many of them feel that changing the mode of examination will help ease the process. Sure, spread of the virus through a test booklet can be eliminated by this method, but there are a lot of other factors that come into action for the implementation of this change. To change the mode of the examination, NTA will have to change the test centres from schools/colleges to digital centres. Such changes, a few months before the examination, may also cause panic among those appearing for NEET 2020.

What can be the new NEET 2020 exam date?

NEET 2020 will most likely not be conducted in the last week of May. There are three case scenarios that can come into play for conducting NEET 2020

  • The exam date for NEET 2020 may be pushed to the month of July or August, or
  • The exam may be conducted batch-wise on different dates to avoid overcrowding of the exam centres, or
  • NTA may also increase the number of exam centres within a city

Irrespective of the date or the test centre, this year many may not be able to appear for the examination due to the spread of COVID-19 in India if the new NEET 2020 exam date is not planned properly. Share your ideas and opinions on NEET 2020 dates, in the comment section below.

Reply to Suresh Babu

Please let us know the date of exams at least before a month. As far as my knowledge a lot of NEET aspirants are worried about the dates being informed just a few days away from the exam. That will be truly a time for mental trauma if it happens like that.
