National Testing Agency (NTA) has cautioned NEET aspirants about fake and fraudulent calls, SMS, and email asking for candidate's application details including their personal details.
National Testing Agency (NTA) has cautioned NEET aspirants about fake and fraudulent calls, SMS, and email asking for candidate's application details, including their personal details.
In a notice released by NTA on its official website, the agency informed all aspirants appearing for NEET 2020 that, "NTA does not ask for any personal details or any other information through calls, SMS or emails. If any such calls or messages/emails are received please do not share any information."
The agency also warned that it will take strict action against the 'unscrupulous elements' seeking confidential information from students.
NTA has also requested parents and students to not rely on any information other than the one that is available on the official NTA website, 'nta.ac.in', and official NEET UG website, 'ntaneet.nic.in'.
The NTA conducts NEET for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, Veterinary and other medical/paramedical courses in India. NEET is the only entrance test for admission to MBBS and BDS courses in India. AIIMS and JIPMER MBBS examinations have also been merged with the NTA NEET examination. It will be held across tentatively in around 154 test centres. With approximately 15 lakh test-takers, it is the most important medical entrance examination in India.
Earlier, Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal during an online interaction with students announced that NEET 2020 will be conducted on July 26. The national-level entrance was originally scheduled for May 3. The pen- and paper-based format from previous year remains unchanged. NTA is yet to announce the date for release of NEET 2020 Admit Card.
