NEET 2020: Preparing for the entrance test amidst a nation-wide lock down
With only a few months left for NEET 2020, a nation-wide lockdown definitely impacts those preparing for it. Thanks to e-learning, candidates can now refer to these sites for NEET 2020 preparation.
As the novel coronavirus tightens its grip in India, the nation goes into lockdown. All the schools, colleges and coaching centres have been shut. Many examinations stand cancelled and many have been postponed. NEET 2020—which is to be held on September 13—was also rescheduled, giving its takers a little time to prepare for it. It has thus become important to utilise this time as well and strengthen the preparation.

SWAYAM: Free Online Education for all
SWAYAM, a programme initiated by the Government of India, was introduced with an objective of making the best teaching material available to all. Courses taught in the classroom from class IX till post-graduation are available on this platform and are free for all. SWAYAM uses an audio-video interface for a better learning experience. Those preparing for NEET 2020 can use this platform to clarify their doubts and strengthen their knowledge base.

Lectures Provided by NTA
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has also made a similar attempt by introducing ‘content-based lectures’ on its official website. These lectures have been prepared by IIT professors and various subject matter experts. Candidates must, however, note that there is no guarantee that the NEET 2020 question paper will have questions from these lectures.

E-Pathshala: The Mobile App
For those who do not have access to a computer but have a smartphone, E-Pathshala is the go-to app. A joint initiative by the Government of India and National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), E-Pathshala gives access to all educational material, including textbooks, audio, video, periodicals and other print/non-print materials. Also, there is no limit for downloading on E-Pathshala and students can download the required study material for offline use.

SWAYAM PRABHA: The Channel for Education
Another initiative by the Government of India to take education to the remote locations in India. For those who do not have access to a stable internet connection or a smartphone, SWAYAM PRABHA will resolve your doubts. Every household in India has a DTH connection these days, even in the most remote locations. SWAYAM PRABHA is a cluster of 32 DTH channels dedicated to education. Every day these channels broadcast new content for 4 hours, which is then repeated 5 times during the day. These channels also have content designed for the students of class XI and XII who are preparing for competitive examinations such as NEET 2020.
