National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) NEET-UG 2021 today, September 12, for admission to Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), BSc (Hons) Nursing programme, AYUSH, Veterinary, and Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS). NEET-UG 2021 results are expected to be declared by September end.

Once the result will be out, the candidates can download the result by logging in to their registered accounts on the official website neet.nta.nic.in. The candidates who will qualify in the examination will be eligible to participate in the counselling process. Once the result will be declared, it will be considered as final as NTA's role is limited to the release of results and preparation of the merit list. Any request for re-evaluation of the answer sheet will not be entertained by the NTA.

Types of Merit lists

  • The first will be the overall merit list which will include names and ranks of all the candidates who appeared for NEET UG. This overall merit list will be prepared by NTA and forwarded to all counselling bodies.
  • Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will prepare 15 per cent AIQ merit list and it will include only those students who would qualify the NEET 2021 result.
  • Every state will prepare their state quota merit list for admission to state quota seats. It will include candidates who will qualify the NEET 2021 result and register for the counselling of that respective state.

Steps to download NEET 2021 result

1. Go to the official website.

2. Navigate to the 'Download Result' tab.

The counselling is expected to start from the fourth week of October 2021.
