NEET Counselling 2020: Registration for stray vacancy round begins; Know where and how to apply
The stray vacancy round will be conducted in an offline mode. The physical reporting at the institutes for stray vacancy round will be held from January 7 to January 15.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has begun the registration for the NEET 2020 Counselling stray vacancy round. All the candidates who have successfully cleared the NEET 2020 exam, but were not able to get admission in earlier counselling rounds, now have another chance. The MBBS and BDS aspirants can now apply for admission to medical colleges by visiting the official website of MCC; i.e. mcc.nic.in. Candidates must note that the last date to apply for admission into the affiliated medical colleges is January 15.
The stray vacancy round is being conducted to fill up the vacant seats in All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Vardhman Mahavir Medical College (VMMC), Delhi University (DU), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), deemed universities, and Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC). The stray vacancy round will be conducted in an offline mode. The physical reporting at the institutes for stray vacancy round will be held from January 7 to 15. The session will begin on February 2, as per the official notice.
The stray vacancy round is conducted by the respective deemed, central universities and institutes, AIIMS, JIPMER for which the list of registered and eligible candidates are forwarded by the MCC. The allotment will only be in terms of merit, as per the official notice by MCC.

- Click on the new registration tab
- Register using details
- Fill form
- Pay fee, submit
“Colleges must display the eligibility conditions on their website well before the commencement of the Stray Vacancy round in order to enable the participating candidates to make an informed decision. The candidates must be allowed to register online. However, the physical presence of candidates along with original documents is a must at the time of admission. Candidates must be physically present during the time of admission or verification of documents at the college. Any authorized person in absence of the candidate must not be entertained,” the official notice said.
