NTA is all set to conduct NEET-UG 2021 today, September 12, in 202 cities.

National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) NEET-UG 2021 today in 202 cities across India, Dubai and Kuwait. The national level entrance examination is for admission into the undergraduate medical courses including medical and paramedical courses. 

NEET-UG will provide admission to Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), AYUSH and Veterinary. This year, nearly 16 lakh students have registered for the NEET-UG 2021. The exam cities increased from 155 to 202 which includes two international cities Kuwait and Dubai. The total number of exam centres have increased from 3,843 to 3,855.

The exam duration will be of 3 hours and it will be conducted in an offline mode. The papers will be Physics, Chemistry and Biology and total marks are 720. The total number of colleges participating in the NEET-UG 2021 are 1,613 colleges and the total number of seats will be the following:

  • MBBS - 83,075
  • BDS - 27,285
  • BAMS - 52,720
  • BVSc & AH - 525

The exam pattern is changed this year and it will be conducted in 13 languages. In 2021, BSc (Hons) Nursing programme admission will also be done on the basis of NEET-UG scores. Also, the central government has approved the 27% reservation for Other Backward Class (OBC) and 10% reservation for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) in All India Quota (AIQ).
