NEET UG 2024 Seat Allotment

The NEET UG 2024 Counselling Special Stray Vacancy Round result has been declared on November 23, 2024. As many as 307 candidates have been allotted seats. While 74 candidates have been allotted MBBS seats, 179 candidates have been allotted BDS seats. Rest of the candidates have been allotted BSc Nursing seats. The institute reporting process will be conducted from November 25 to November 30, 2024.

The provisional result was declared on November 22, 2024. Candidates coreport against any discrepancy in the provisional result till November 23, 2024, 12 noon.

What is NEET UG 2024 Seat Allotment?

Seat allotment, as the term suggests, is the process of weighing various factors and then allotting one or multiple seats to a candidate. The seat allotment round is the second last step of the counselling round. Based on the seat allotment, candidates choose whether they will accept the seat or go for further rounds of NEET 2024 counselling. The seat allotment process is done by MCC on behalf of the Directorate General of Health Services. The seats that are allotted in the NEET UG counselling conducted by MCC are the 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) seats.

The NEET UG 2024 counselling seat allotment result for each round will be declared separately, once the choice filling process is concluded. While announcing the NEET UG counselling 2024 dates, MCC announced the complete schedule for the NEET 2024 counselling seat allotment results.

Factors of NEET Seat Allotment

While allotting the seats to the NEET UG 2024 seat allotment process, MCC or the counselling conducting authorities will consider the following factors:

  • Total number of AIQ seats

  • Choices filled and locked by candidates

  • NEET 2024 rank and score of candidates

  • Reservation criteria

  • Validity of NEET counselling registration submission

How to Check NEET 2024 Seat Allotment Result

Candidates will have to follow the steps given below to check the NEET 2024 seat allotment process:

  • Visit the official website of MCC at mcc.nic.in 

  • Click on the link indicating NEET counselling seat allotment result 

  • Find your All India Rank (AIR) on the PDF document.

  • Download the Seat Allotment order.

Difference Between Provisional and Final NEET UG Counselling Seat Allotment

MCC releases the provisional NEET counselling seat allotment result first. Upon checking the list, if a candidate finds any discrepancy, he/she can report it to MCC within the given schedule. After that, MCC releases the final seat allotment result. Candidates must note that it is the final seat allotment result which will be considered for final admission. The seat allotment order will be released by MCC after the declaration of the final NEET UG 2024 counselling seat allotment result. 

What After the Release of NEET Seat Allotment Result?

Candidates have to do the following after the release of the NEET 2024 seat allotment order:

  • Download the seat allotment order.

  • Report to the allotted institute and complete the admission process.

  • In case candidates are not satisfied with the allotted seat, they can opt for ‘Upgrade’ and then participate in the next counselling process of NEET 2024.

MCC is conducting NEET counselling for 1,09,170 MBBS and 27,868 BDS seats in India. The total number of BSc Nursing seats allotted through MCC NEET counselling is around 1,000.
