Now, students who have passed the 10th grade can also enroll in the BAMS course. For this, the NEET UG exam will be conducted. This is a seven-and-a-half-year program with a one-year internship and the initial two years dedicated to pre-Ayurveda.

The requirement to complete Class 12 grade to enroll in the Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) course will no longer be mandatory. BAMS admission can be obtained after passing the 10th grade. However, only one or two institutes in each state will offer BAMS, known as Ayurvedic Gurukulam.
