22 MBBS students of Medical College in Odisha found Covid positive

The MBBS students of Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR), Odisha are now admitted to the Covid-19 hospital.

Odisha has reported new Covid-19 cases from a school and medical college. Around fifty-three girls in a government-aided high school and twenty-two MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) students of Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR) are found to be positive for Covid-19 infection.

As per the reports, the girls are isolated and maintaining normal health and the school has been shut for a week. The MBBS students of VIMSAR, Burla are now admitted to the Covid-19 hospital.

As per the latest government update, Odisha reported 212 new cases yesterday.

Details of cases confirmed as death due to Covid-19, after due completion of the death audit process:
1. A 39 years old Male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease, Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus & Hypothyroidism.
2. A 61 years old Male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, Post Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation.
3. A 58 years old Female of Jagatsinghpur District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus & Hypothyroidism.
NOTE: This list does not reflect deaths occurring on a particular day. It gives details of past deaths for which the death audit process has been duly completed and the cause of death has been identified as due to Covid-19.
