CMA Foundation Model Exam for June 2021 Home Based Test Starts from Aug 25

CMA course examination is conducted twice every year in June and December. CMA 2021 term examination had seen several postponements owing to a surge in the COVID-19 cases. Initially, the CMA foundation June 2021 exam was scheduled to be conducted on June 12, which was rescheduled to July 23. Looking at the second wave of COVID-19, the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI) postponed the CMA Foundation June 2021 exam to September 5.

With an extensive postponement, ICAI decided to conduct the CMA Foundation June 2021 exam as an online home-based test. With remote proctored test for CMA Foundation course of June 2021 term examination, ICAI has decided to conduct model examination from August 24 to August 29 in order to familiarise candidates with the online home-based test.

The model exam will be conducted within a duration of one hour from 10 AM to 11 AM. The one-hour model exam will also have a break of 10 minutes in between the two papers. Candidates who have completed the CMA foundation June 2021 registration until May 30 are only eligible for the model test. Candidates need to keep the login details handy before they proceed to take the model exam for the CMA Foundation course (online home-based)

CMA Foundation June 2021 Model Exam: Date and Time

The model test is to familiarise the candidates with the user interface and functioning of the home-based online test. The time duration of one paper under the CMA foundation course is two hours. However, this is not the case with the model test. Candidates can take up to 25 minutes to complete each paper. ICAI will also provide a break of 10 minutes between two papers. The difficulty level and the pattern of questions are also different in model test papers.

The model exam date is scheduled from August 25 to August 29 from 10 AM to 11 AM. Candidates can take paper 1 or paper 2 from 10:00 AM to 10:25 AM. To take paper 3 or paper 4, candidates can appear from 10:35 AM to 11:00 AM.

Prerequisites of CMA Foundation Model Exam (Online Home Based Test)

Candidates have to follow the below-mentioned guidelines before taking the model test or the CMA foundation June 2021 exam.

• Government ID Proof: Candidates need to upload a valid government approved ID proof before starting the exam.
• Login Details: Candidates must keep login details handy including the registration ID, date of birth and passkey (shared by ICAI before the exam). Once the candidate opens the examination page, they will not be allowed to switch over the tabs to access these details.
• Quiet Room: Candidates must sit in a quiet room. A place with bright lights placed behind you must be avoided.
• Updated Web Browser: Candidates must update Google Chrome with the latest version and provide Webcam and Microphone access beforehand.
• Timely Login: The CMA Foundation model test shall start at 10 AM, candidates must log in on time.
• Power Backup: Candidates must ensure they have enough power backup to avoid hassles during a situation of electricity failure.
